Living Centre (LLC)

The Living and Learning Centre provides highly specialised provision for pupils with the most complex and often life-limiting conditions, where learning is deeply personalised and focused on the whole child.

Provision prioritises engagement, communication, comfort and regulation, with progress understood in highly individual terms and often reflected through small, non-linear steps. The environment is carefully designed to be low-arousal, structured and distraction-free, enabling pupils to feel safe and supported to access learning at an appropriate level.

Provision is holistic, integrating education, therapy and care to reduce barriers and support wellbeing and quality of life. Statutory expectations, including aspects of Relationships Education and health education, are delivered in highly personalised and sensory-based ways. The focus is on enabling pupils to experience connection, comfort and meaningful interaction with the world around them, supported by consistent relationships and a coordinated multi-disciplinary approach.
